Bust Your Butt Falls

Bust Your Butt Falls on the Collusaja River in the late afternoon sun, outside of Highlands, NC, in the Nantahala National Forest.  Shot with a tripod-mounted Nikon D7100 and a Nikon 28-70mm f3.5D lens.

Oregon Inlet Lifesaving Station

The US Coast Guard Lifesaving Station at Oregon Inlet, along the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  Originally built in 1897, the site was abandoned in 1988.  It was restored by the State of NC  in 2008-2009 and is now a historical site.  Shot with a Nikon D5000 and a Nikon 35mm f1.8G lens.  The black and white conversion was done in Apple Aperture.
