Rounding the turn
The top-seeded women head for the finish line during the 2008 Peachtree Road Race, held in Atlanta every July 4th. The Peachree is the largest 10K race in the world, with over 50,000 participants. In recent years, there have been divisions for competitors in Iraq and Afghanistan as well. Shot with a Nikon D50 and a Nikon 80-200 f2.8 telephoto zoom lens. This photo was recently selected for use in a promotional video for the Epilepsy Foundation.

Sunrise on Brasstown Bald
Shot from Brasstown Bald, in the Chattahoochee National Forest near Blairsville, GA. Brasstown Bald is the highest point in the State of Georgia, at approximately 4900 feet. I shot this just before dawn looking to the southeast, near the top of the mountain. Shot handheld at ISO 2200 with a Nikon D90 and a Nikon 50mm F1.8D lens. It's another good example of the low-light capabilities of this camera.

Rusted Rail at Jones Bridge
This is part of an experiment. I love the look of Fuji Velvia 50 and like using it for landscape photography. I've also made a serious investment in the Nikon digital DX platform. This photo is an attempt to emulate the look of Fuji Velvia 50 in a digital photo.
